Work and holiday visa
Who is this Visa for?
Young and tertiary educated people from certain countries aged 18 to 30 to visit Australia for up to 12 months for a working holiday.
What does this visa allow me to do?
Work and holiday visa holders are able to live and work in Australia for up to 12 months, however they cannot work for more than six (6) months with each employer.
Basic requirements - organisation
Passport holders from Chile, Thailand, Turkey and the United States of America only are eligible and must also meet the following requirements:
- be aged 18 to 30 years (and have not turned 31) at the time of application;
- in most cases must have formal tertiary education qualifications and provide a letter of support from an approved Government organisation;
- meet health and character requirements;
- apply from outside Australia.
